*** FOSTER HOMES NEEDED ***

If you need help with your miniature Schnauzer, Wire fox terrier, Lakeland terrier, Irish terrier or Welsh terrier, please email cooley@mpinet.net. We specialize in rehoming pure-bred terriers for owners who can no longer keep their dog due to change in circumstances such as a job relocation, divorce, birth of a baby, move to an apartment, move to extended care facility, marriage, job loss or the dog is not the right breed for their lifestyle. We do NOT buy or deal in the selling of dogs acquired from puppy mills. Our web page is on Pet Finder: http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/FL271.html

Experienced terrier homes are needed to help foster our rescues in Florida. Due to the economics of today, many families are unable to care for pets and often turn them into local shelters or give them away as on Craigslist. Please contact us if you are interested in fostering or adopting.

Jack, a 4 year old wire fox terrier, loves to play ball. He even brings it back! He would love a home with a boy or two to play with him. He would also do well with another doggie playmate.

***MAGGIE GOES FISHING***

Maggie love the water so she may pick you for her furever home if you have a pond, lake or better yet, a POOL!! :O)

***NEW LAKIE GIRL IN RESCUE***

Well folks, we have another lovable Lakie in rescue. She is a distant cousin to the ones who started this blog. Maggie May is her name and she was well trained and loved by her former owners, but her older sister became too bossy and fighting was too frequent. This is often the case with terriers, making it difficult to place same sex terriers together. True to terrier tradition, she terrorizes my cats. I just don't know if she wants to play with them or kill them! Either way, they keep out of her reach as you can see......

*** WHO WOULDN'T LOVE THIS FACE ***

Ares and Dudley are two of several Wire Fox & Irish terriers that have come into rescue. Terriers make wonderful pets if you are the right home for them. They are a special breed that need a strong pack leader, fenced yard and plenty of interactive exercise. Come visit us on Petfinder.com if we are your future fur baby, but please do your homework first and learn all about our breed.

*** HELP OUR BIG BRO FIND A HOME ***

I know he looks a little shaggy but our Big Bro has come on hard times. The same rescue group who took us in is looking for a furever home for Stanley. He loves to play in the water and fetch. And yes, he will drop the toy on command, unlike some of us!! He's at the vet now for a check-up and then off to the groomers an extreme make-over.
If you are looking for a wagging tail off the old block, just contact Schnauzer and Fox Terrier Rescue of Florida on Petfinder.com

Oh, by the way you can see Little Sis, Stella, over at the
Republic of GooberStan

Quick shower and I feel great!

Looks as though all the pups and mama have new homes. Thanks everyone for your concern and support!!

***** COUNTING DOWN *****

Three or more of the pups have their furever home. The young mother is still hoping. Onana is almost 3 years old. She was born 9-9-05. Onana is very calm, sweet, docile and somewhat needy but this is very normal for a dog who has lived in a puppymill. She has a wonderful, temperament and loves everyone. She is very happy in the house and seems to be house trained. Poor baby had to be clipped short, to get the matts out of her fur. Good thing hair grows. She will be beautiful once her coat grows back. Onana isn't ready to leave me yet. She is current on vaccinations, microchipped, fecal, heartworm tested, but isn't spayed yet. This will be done on April 15th. I will post updated pictures. Please keep her in mind, if you are looking for a Young female Terrier who needs and deserves LOTS of TLC.

*** Noche Meet Dogzilla-A Home Movie ***

Noche before he left for his furever home in Tampa, FL. And Missy, a 3 month old toy size schnauzer in foster care. I think she got up on the wrong side of the bed! :O) cause we really did get along and play all day. My two bros still in rescue look similar to me. They need furever homes with playful peeps that will keep them occupied & attend obedience and agility training. Lakies are very much a pack animal so they should do well with another doggie in the home.
